CHERY STRENGTHENS ITS SEVEN-YEAR WARRANTY AS IT MARKS FIRST YEAR IN THE UK

Chery is enhancing its UK vehicle warranty after listening to feedback from customers, retailers and aftersales partners

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- To mark a record first year in the UK market, Chery has enhanced its vehicle warranty policy, reflecting feedback from both customers and its fast-growing retailer network. The improvements signal the brand’s customer-first approach and long-term commitment to delivering one of the UK’s strongest ownership experiences.

Among the key components now covered for seven years/ 100,000 miles are the air conditioning compressor, alternator, brake calipers, catalytic converter, infotainment unit, exhaust system, fuel injectors, fuel pump, oil pump, shock absorbers, starter motor, track rod ends, water pump, wheel bearings and electric window regulators – all were previously covered for three years/ 40,000 miles.

In addition, the warranty cover on all bushes and rubber components is extended from three years/ 40,000 miles to seven years/ 60,000 miles, while cover for ball joints increases from three years/ 40,000 miles to seven years/ 60,000 miles. The enhancements provide both private and business customers with even greater peace of mind and help to reduce long-term ownership costs.

Effective immediately on all new models, the enhanced cover is also applied retrospectively on every vehicle sold in the UK to date: customers do not need to take any action to benefit from the improvements, with the updated warranty terms applying automatically.

Having successfully established itself in the UK market less than a year ago, Chery had the best-selling 7-seater in June with the TIGGO 8, reached a 2% market share in July, and has opened more than 85 retailers with the ambition to reach 120 by the autumn.

Every model offered in the UK – TIGGO 4, TIGGO 7, TIGGO 8 and TIGGO 9 – is offered with Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) plug-in hybrid powertrains. These combine all-electric running for day-to-day journeys with the convenience and flexibility of a highly efficient petrol engine for longer trips.
